Week 10 Key Games and Picks

Week 10 Key Games and Picks

Only a few games to keep an eye on this weekend. Many teams are facing inferior opponents and they should win easily. However, there are a few of those teams that could be on upset alert.

In case any of you missed it, Miami beat Virginia Tech on Thursday night. The Hurricanes dominated the entire game. Virginia Tech is now 4-5 for the season. The Hokies' road doesn't get any easier...... Next Thursday night they face Florida State.

These are the key games to watch this weekend:

Texas A&M vs Mississippi State. This will be another good measuring stick for both teams. The Bulldogs are coming off a tough loss to Alabama. The Aggies have been getting better each week. Texas A&M could still make some noise in the SEC this year. A convincing win for the Aggies would set the tone for an exciting matchup with Alabama. I like the Aggies in this game. Texas A&M win, 27-13.

TCU at West Virginia. Can West Virginia get back on the winning track? They have lost back-to-back games and desperately need to get things going back in the right direction. Geno Smith is still in the Heisman race but he needs a win with some good stats to help him out. TCU is good enough to give West Virginia problems. TCU won't have any problems scoring points, but the bigger test will be slowing down a frustrated West Virginia offense. I think West Virginia will continue to spiral out of control. Geno Smith's frustration will really begin to show in this game too. TCU wins in a shoot out, 38-35.

Oregon at USC. Oregon needs to be careful. Even though USC has been struggling, they still have the capability of putting up points on anybody. The Ducks will be tough to stop on offense, though. That will be where the Trojans fail. If USC's defense could some how manage to slow down the Duck's offense, then the Trojans could hang around long enough to make it a game in the 4th qtr. I think that may be wishful thinking...... Oregon wins 42-20.

Alabama at LSU. This is 'THE BIG GAME'. LSU has a chance to get back in the BCS Title picture.....they have to win this game for that to happen. The Tigers have shown improvement every week. Les Miles is one of very few coaches to have success against Saban. I see this game going a couple ways, but with only one outcome. It will either be close, or it will be overwhelming in favor of one team.....that team being Alabama in both scenarios. The Crimson Tide appear to be the total package. They have the defense that can put you down and keep you there. Their offense is the type that will wear you down. Alabama doesn't have many flaws, if any. If Bama has any flaws, LSU will be trying everything they can to find them and exploit them. I don't feel like the Tigers will have enough firepower to take down Alabama. LSU's best chance will only come if they can keep it close, and even then, I don't think it will be enough. Alabama wins 34-14.
