College Football.

College Football.....There is no other sport like it, no other sport that can even come close to the passion.

First a little about me. I am a HUGE College Football fan. I am an even bigger Seminoles fan. I bleed Garnet and Gold. I live in Nashville, Tennessee. Just a happily married twenty-seven year old man who loves nothing more than to talk football. This is my first blog.

Enough about me. College Football is changing. It is becoming larger every season and come 2014, it may just be out of this world. As decided by the BCS, there will be a four team play-off. FINALLY! How we get to those four teams is going to be interesting. Will it be the top four conference winners? Will it be the four highest ranked teams in the BCS? Honestly, I like the top conference winners. Now for all the SEC fans out there, I am not saying that because I am one of those who hates the SEC. I respect the SEC and all of its recent success. And let's not sugar coat it...One side of the SEC is doing all the work. If we want to keep the regular season and the conference championships meaningful then we can't have what happened in 2011 happen again. Sure, the best two teams in college football got to play for the title. But what weight did the regular season games carry? Don't say "it helped decide the champion of the SEC." SEC fans should relish at the oppurtunity to play a team outside of the SEC. Think of the bragging rights. "Bring on the Big Ten. Bring on the PAC-12. Just let us prove our dominance by destroying any other conference's BEST." I mean really. Living in the heart of SEC country, believe me, I know fans around here love beating up on non-conference foes. Point made.

So, we have two seasons left before we get to see this play-off scenario unfold....Let's talk 2012 season predictions. Now, those of you who know me, know that I get on my high horse and start screaming "THE NOLES ARE BACK!" And I know full well that many college football fans are tired of hearing about Florida State. The media wants them to be good again so bad. Sometimes, I think the media is pulling for them every preseason. When I was growing up, the Seminoles always got the media attention. Bobby Bowden and the "team of the 90's." College football as a whole needs FSU back. College Football needs teams like Notre Dame, USC, Miami, and Michigan. So yes, I want them to be back this season.....seriously.
My Top 10 going into 2012 looks like this so far. Once Spring Football is done and summer camps are going, it may change.

1. LSU
2. USC
3. Alabama
4. Oklahoma
5. Oregon
6. Florida State (I am going to hear it for this one)
7. South Carolina
8. West Virginia
9. Georgia
10. Clemson

Over the next few weeks I will break each team down and give you my thoughts on where their season is going....or isn't going. Noteables not in the Top 10: Arkansas, Michigan, Oklahoma State.
